• Alcaraz Opens Campaign with Convincing Win

  The ATP Finals 2025 kicked off in spectacular fashion in Turin, with top seed Carlos Alcaraz securing a hard-fought victory against Alex de Minaur, 7-6(5), 6-2. This opening match at the ATP Finals showcased Alcaraz’s determination to claim his maiden year-end championship and reclaim the World No. 1 ranking from Jannik Sinner. Despite a challenging first set where he squandered a 4–1 lead, the Spaniard raised his level in the tiebreak and dominated the second set with explosive groundstrokes and agile court coverage.                  

   

• Zverev Blasts Past Shelton

In another Green Group match, two-time ATP Finals champion Alexander Zverev delivered a masterclass in serving and composure, defeating American Ben Shelton 6–3, 7–6(6). Zverev, who previously lifted the trophy in 2018 and 2021, saved crucial points in the second-set tiebreak to begin his quest for a third title under the Turin lights.

The ATP Finals features eight of the season’s best players split into two groups, each battling for up to 1,500 ranking points and a share of the $15M+ prize pool. Each round-robin win awards 200 points, with the undefeated champion taking home one of tennis’ most prestigious titles.
